Hello!Today,I went back from camp. Canadian nature is same as Hokkaido's one. I remember Hokkaido and Sapporo.
And I packed our laggege. It is too hard because I bought many goods.
Tomorrow, we go back to Japan. However I want to stay here! Because Canadian are very kind for me! Six years ago,I had been to Canada that is Ontario for a manth. I will go to Canada again.

August 15th Wednesday
Today's first class is Presentation skills. The teacher is Pat. She is really merry, cheerful! She always makes us happy.
In the class, we present about each themes. The themes are about TOYOTA, Tim Horons, canadian tourism, Hudson's bay company. Each group research and present well.
Second class is Business Communications. The teacher is Ron. We study about report. He always teaches us eagerly. I feel his passion toward education. Today's class is last class of Ron. I hope there is a teacher like him in Japan.

First of all, I don't still self intruduction, so I do that. I'm sorry for late.
I'm Shoichi Ogawa. My hobby is listening to music, playing tennis, talking with my friends and so on. I want to improve my English skills while I'm a university student. take it easy!
Today's first class is Grammar Fundamentals. The teacher is George. He is very cool. I think he seems to be a military athlete. In the class, we find something in common each other with my classmates and study about travel features. The end of class, we are assigned homework which think about advertisement.
Second class is Business Communications. The teacher is Ron. He is so earnest. In the class, we study about business letter. It is a little difficult for me, but I feel that I need to master it. I spend a meaningful time today!

(1)Presentation Skills:
We learned about which word we should emphasize on . Then, we discussed "key roles within team" in groups.
Canadian Culture:
We considered and wrote down our opinion about family and society in Japan and in Canada. And we were informed of camping in weekend.
(2)We can actively participate in class. I think we are getting used speaking actively!
Outside activity: We dicided what each will do on Thursday.
(3)There were a few classmates who are sleeping in the class...
(4)I saw so many shooting stars last night! They were very beautiful!!

Aug 12th Sun
Today,we went to Niagara Falls.
I was so excited,and I and my friends went under Falls.
There, so much mist attacked me!
I tryed to take pictures,but I can't because of mist.
Then,we rode a boat.
It went by Falls,I weted again so much.
In the evening,we could look rainbow.
After going back,we looked shooting star.
I have watched several times before,
but some of my friends have not.
When shooting star came up, we shouted!
It's so fantastic!!!
Today,I can feel much nature.
This is my priceless memory!!!!!

Today other students went shopping.But my friends and I enjoyed playing golf.It is very exciting.
By the way, Allen who supports us is angry for people who are part of our student. I am very surprised because he is very kind man. I do not think he is mad at them.

[morning class]
Grammar
First, we learned tence. It can be classified into 3 tenses, the present and the past and the
perfect tense. we made some sentenses by using these tenses. Next, we made 3 groups and pick up some campany's or brand's slogan and translate these slogans into English. Each groups write them down and ask everyone which campany have the slogan. These slogans that is picked up were common in Japan, so everyone could answer easily. It was very fun.

Guest Speaker
The guest speaker, who is the professor of University of waterloo, talked about the culture. They said each country and each city and each university and any communitis has its own culture, and it affects bussiness. I listened to his talk carefully, but I could understand only about half of what he said. I realized I have to improve my skill of listening.
After school, we have no activity, so I did my homework with friends.

Today,we went to Toronto.Toronto is very large city. And there,we enjoyed shopping,and we climbed up CN Tower.We are very exciting.It is very tall building.The last,we ate Chinese food.It was not good. That is all.I am very tired and sleepy.I want to eat Japanese Food.

Today,I had two classes.
First class was canadian culture. We had test about Canada. It was a little difficult.
And we listened some Canadian music. It was very fun.
Second class was glammer. We transrated Japanese slogan into English and English slogan into Japanese. I enjoyed it very much.
After school, we went playing mini golf. It was difficult, so I was just seeing. But I took many pictures. There were beautiful landscape.

There are many historical museum.
And,each houses has one woman who tell us about this house.

8/6 Monday
(1)1. Morning class
We learned that appropriate language styles in Pat's class. This is called "gambits". There are four types(Formal, Neutral, Informal and Highly) and they are used properly in many situations. Fomal style is used when someone speaks to person who is higher position than he. Neutral is used when students asks to teacher. Informal is used when people asks to stranger. Highly is used when people talk to their friends.
2.Afternoon class
We had Lucia class. This class is about Canadian Culture. We learned about Canadian coins and bills and the map. Each Canadian coin have nickname and symbol. It was interesting for me. We could understand provinces and where the main cities are. I figuered out that it takes about 10 days to cross Canada.
(2)We thought about what we should say to help keep the discussion moving along. Everybody speak actively.
(3)I think we did't encounter problems and troubles.
(4)Nothing.

We learned about the Canadian money(bills and coins),and searched place of the cities of Canada from the map.We actively participated in the class.Nothing kind of ploblems or troubles were happened .
we learned how to make a good presentation from a viewpoint of nonverval communication.We actively participated at the class and made some presentations of each group.Nothing happened at the class except Mr Nagaoke's nose bleed .
